Diving queen Guo Jingjing gives birth

 Chinese "diving queen" Guo Jingjing has given birth to a healthybaby boy earlier today, her husband announced on his microblog.
Kenneth Fok, Guo's husband and eldest grandson of the late Hong Kong business tycoon HenryFok, wrote on his Sina blog, "Dear friends, my and Jingjing's son was born this morning; he weighs3.3 kilograms. Mother and son are safe and healthy."
He added, "Our families are very happy and joyful about this little miracle of life." Fok also thankedthe doctors and nurses, as well as other relatives, friends and media reporters, indicating he willrelease a photo of the baby later.
Multi-Olympic gold winner Guo Jingjing tied the knot with Kenneth Fok in Hong Kong in November2012, during three lavish wedding ceremonies. The events were attended by numerous officialsand celebrities from the political, athletic and business worlds. It was called the "Wedding of theCentury."
In April this year, Hong Kong media first reported about Guo Jingjing's pregnancy, which was laterconfirmed by both families. In June, there were reports the Fok family had given the couple aHK$200-million house near the Fok compound as a place for them to reside and raise their child.
Guo retired in 2011 after bagging a total of four Olympic gold medals and eight world titles. Herromance and marriage with Kenneth Fok has kept her in headlines since the 2004 AthensOlympics. (China.org.cn)
